Family Fun Activities for August
Now that the summer months are starting to wind down and the kids are back in school, you may find it challenging to find fun activities to do with the family. Throughout August, however, there are many fun things to do with your family. Take time to schedule them out with your family, so everyone can be sure to make it.
Here are some great family activities that you can count on this month…
- Stop by the Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum on BYU’s campus to experience the “Into Africa” exhibit. This has been a year in the making, while experiencing the exhibit you will be able to learn about plants and animals in Africa, and see many animals that are indigenous to Africa.
- If you are craving some time outside heading out to the Sundance Lifts may be the perfect opportunity for some quality family time. During the fall months, the lift will take passengers up to the top of Ray’s summit. You can stay on the lift and enjoy the scenery of the mountains as they begin to turn to their fall colors.
- The Thanksgiving Point Gardens have started hosting an event that allows children and families to explore their expansive and well manicured gardens. This is a great opportunity to get out of the house, relax and simply enjoy one another’s company.
- The 23rd Timpanogos Storytelling Festival is a great way to get the family out for a new experience. There are workshops that you can attend or you can simply sit back and enjoy the storytelling skills of storytellers from across the nation.
No matter how you get out and enjoy your time with your family, you can take advantage of this beautiful time of year. Take time to talk with your family about the best way for you to enjoy one another’s time together.
